The ServiceMaster Company, parent company of TruGreen Lawncare, TruGreen Landcare and Terminix, among other business units, filed its Form 10-Q with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 15, 2010 for the third quarter of 2010.

Of special note is the following comment included in the Form 10-Q regarding ServiceMaster’s TruGreen Landcare unit:  “The Company is exploring strategic options relating to TruGreen LandCare, including the potential sale of the business.”

The 10-Q also disclosed that ServiceMaster had made in excess of $40 million in acquisitions during the nine months, with the majority of that appearing to be in its Terminix unit.   ServiceMaster also included this comment on the futire of its acquisition program: “The Company expects to continue its acquisition program at Terminix, TruGreen LawnCare and Merry Maids.”
